Elephant’s Foot

Elephantopus elatus

  • Native, short-lived perennial wildflower, reseeding 3’x1.5’

  • Full sun to part shade, somewhat moist soils to dry; native to pine flatwoods and sandhills

  • Lavender to white flowers come out of a unique spike, blooms August-September

  • Attracts a high amount of rare native bees and pollinators
